ABOUT THE COTTAGE
Craigs Farm Cottage is part of a traditional Scottish courtyard farm architecture. It sits alongside a family house, a basement flat, an office, barns, and traditional outbuildings. It is the only apartment on the property used for short-term letting, offering guests a private stay within a rural setting. The cottage was originally built to house the farm labourer and their family, and still sits within a landscape shaped by over 200 years of farming history. Today, the farm is maintained by the owner, Colin, his family, and the farm manager Ian, who continue the ongoing upkeep of this historic estate home and it’s two acre garden.

A private hot-tub cabin, a log-burner stove. A Scottish breakfast welcome pack, proper coffee. Fast Internet, A 50” smart TV and Bluetooth speakers. Board games and a selection of books. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, a cocktail mixology kit and blender. All linens, towels and bathrobes are supplied.

There are regular trains to Dumfries from Glasgow and Carlisle.
Dumfries is on the A75, and very easy to drive to from both the South and the North.
The farm is located on the Southern outskirts of Dumfries, down a country road, just over a mile from the centre of town.
